Just some ramblings which someone may find interesting!! :o)

I am a Baptist Christian young lady. I just want you to know that Australia has just as much hope, justice, and life as the States - maybe even more!!!! We Australians know that the USA is in a bit of a mess right now - there is accuatly MORE/equal Christian freedom here, then there is in the States! that may sound odd, but I have American friends who know what they are talking about - and I have kept up on the latest news too....
A lot of American's come here are say that they 'had to give up so much to come here' when really Australia is probably one of the most comfortable countries to live in - the closest to America. I do not hate America - quite the contrary! I have so many really good friends there!! :o) But I do HATE it when people speak of Australia needing 'hope,' justice,' and 'life.' We have it already!! If I might say, I think America needs a bit of all of those right now - America may have started as a 'Christian Nation,' but that does not mean it still is, and to be quite blunt (and fair) America and Australia are both equally wicked, sinful countries. They both need missionaries!!

To leave you in peace... :o) I will close with some wisdom from one of your own kind:
An American preacher once came to Australia to preach for some meetings and he said something which most Australian Christians already know, it was that 'America needed missionaries to come'! :o)

I DO love American people, and I am a fan of lots of American preachers, but I honestly think that Americans need to start seeing Australia as it really is - Australia is NOT a poor, un-Christian nation anymore then the USA is!!

After all that, Kind Regards and God Bless you (and no I an not crazy, just wanted you to know some facts :o)

Hi, thanks for your input and I'm sorry if this has come off as me speaking poorly of Australia. I have lived here for over 2 years. It is a wonderful country that I love very much. I certainly am not of the mind that Australia needs God any more or less than America.

Believe me, I am well aware of our short comings. This was not about a comparison of any nation against another. I was just called to Australia. Some people are called to home, others to other places.

With that being said, I really did give up everything I had to come here. Whether or not it is developed, I quit a good job, sold everything I owned and moved across the world to work for a non-profit where I live off of people and church's support. It is not an implication of my living conditions in Australia (it is very developed) it's just an individual situation in my life.

I work with people from all over the world, including Australians who have also given up jobs and most of their possessions to be in missions full time.

Hope that clears things up! I am absolutely blessed to be residing in Australia.
